Christel serves as the Chief Information Officer at RBS, where she leads technology, data, cybersecurity, and AI strategy across the company’s clinical consulting, revenue cycle management, and practice management services. Her career has spanned the full arc of radiation oncology, from clinical research to product leadership to running technology for a growing oncology company.

She began as a Medical Physics Postdoctoral Researcher in Radiation Oncology at UC San Diego Health, translating cancer research software into real clinical applications. She then spent eight years at Varian (now Siemens Healthineers), most recently as Head of Product Management, where she helped shape oncology software and proton therapy products used by cancer centers worldwide.  Following Varian she joined Elekta, where she led product management for the MOSAIQ radiation oncology information system, which served more than 4,000 clinics worldwide. Before joining RBS, she was Chief Technology Officer at Fuse Oncology, a health-tech startup building AI-native oncology solutions.

Christel holds a PhD in Physics and an MBA from the University of California, San Diego. She holds 22 patents and has authored 18 publications. At RBS, she is focused on using AI and modern workflows to accelerate enterprise operations, solidify the technical foundations of cancer centers, and optimize the patient journey from diagnosis through treatment to follow-up, so practices can spend more time on patients and less on administration.
