While CMS has proposed increases for certain treatment delivery codes, many providers remain concerned about reductions that would affect treatment planning, medical physics, treatment management, stereotactic treatments (SBRT/SRS), proton therapy, and other essential services. Industry leaders are evaluating the cumulative effect these changes may have on the financial sustainability of cancer programs and patients’ continued access to care.
